Investing time in the development of your core values will make managing your team and client expectations easier. Core values act as a decision-making filter for the daily operation of your business. They align a team’s thinking and actions while reducing workplace tension and helping to build better internal and external relationships.
Core values are the essence of a company’s identity; they support the vision and shape the culture of the organisation. Core values cannot be simply ‘copied and pasted’ onto your website and into your business in the hope that they will fit the unique DNA of your company. They need to be developed from within to be authentic to you, your team and your business.
The most effective way to develop a set of core values is by having an independent facilitator lead the process that ensures the outcome represents the genuine DNA of your business. This workshop allows you to create the core values for your business – providing a great foundation and guide for the way your team interacts with your clients and each other.
A clear set of core values is the foundation for a great business culture and will make leading and managing your team and client expectations a lot easier. You are more likely to achieve your business goals with strong core values than with a stand-alone business plan.
We have developed this workshop to enable you and your team to identify and develop your core values. Before the workshop, your team will complete a Workshop Briefing Pack which will get you all thinking about your values and vision for the business. This will ensure that everyone is prepared for the workshop and enable you to get the maximum benefit out of it. You will participate in a half-day facilitated workshop that will guide you through the process of creating up to five genuine core values along with their definitions. You will also learn how to maximise the effectiveness of your core values and ensure that your team lives into them.
As part of the development of your core values we will:
Differences in values, beliefs and strategies in your business will not only disrupt and destabilise your team and culture but can also impact the service you provide to your customers. If you don’t have a set of core values that define expectations and behaviour or feel that they are not working for you, then we recommend you contact us today to discuss the benefits of having a Corporate Core Values Workshop.
We look forward to working with you and sharing your flight; so please get in contact.
